On Thursday August 28th, 2025 the Leeds City Schools Board of Education approved Mrs. Molly Rutledge to be the new Assistant Principal at Leeds Primary School. Mrs. Rutledge is not new to LPS -- she was here the day the doors opened in 2016. At LPS, Mrs. Rutledge taught 2nd grade for many years and she also taught virtual Kindergarten during the Covid days. Before that, she taught 2nd and 4th at LES. For the past 5 years she has served as the 6th grade Special Education Teacher at LMS. You can read more about Mrs. Rutledge below. Her first day at LPS will be Tuesday, September 2nd.
