SUN Bucks are Back!
What are SUN Bucks?
Through the Alabama SUN Bucks program, eligible school-age children will receive a one-time grocery benefit this summer. Families will receive a SUN Bucks card with the funds pre-loaded and ready to use for groceries.
SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) provides $120 per school-aged child for summer groceries to families with children who receive SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or Medicaid (under 185% federal poverty level)..
Who is eligible to receive SUN Bucks?
Children who receive SNAP, TANF, or certain Medicaid benefits, or are identified as foster, homeless, or migrant, will automatically receive the benefits.
Children must attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Program (NSLP/SBP).
Generally covers school-aged children to age 18.
What do I need to do to receive my SUN Bucks?
The card will be mailed to your home automatically if you are already in the system.
SUN Bucks cards will be mailed to the address on file with the school system. Parents / Guardians, to assure you receive your SUN Bucks verify your child’s mailing address is correct with the school system.
